Nicknames, also known as nicknames, are representative names given to people or things according to their characteristics, which contain rich cultural connotations. One of the most important characteristics of the 108 poems in the famous classic "Outlaws of the Marsh" is that everyone has a nickname. The use of nicknames makes the Water Margin characters more personalized and makes the characters more distinctive.

In the philatelic field, there are many stamps with nicknames. Throughout the world's mail world, in May 1840, the United Kingdom issued a stamp featuring the profile portrait of Queen Victoria. Because its face value was measured in pennies and printed in black ink, people nicknamed it "Black Penny". In 1918, the United States issued a set of stamps featuring "Curtis Jeanne" aircraft. Because of the workers' misoperation, the plane pattern in one stamp (100 pieces) was printed upside down, which was called "Upside Down Jenny" by stamp collectors. Since then, the reverse printing stamp has gradually become the focus of the United States mail industry. It has made many achievements on the auction floor, leaving many interesting anecdotes. In 1851, British Canadian Province issued the head stamp of Queen Victoria of England, with a face value of 12p. The stamp was printed on ruled paper, which was difficult to stick on the envelope. The post office and users had many negative comments, so it was taken back and destroyed. Because all the tickets are black, the philatelic circle calls them "The Black Empress of Canada" stamps. The first set of stamps issued by the Kingdom of Hawaii in 1851 was printed with the words "Hawaiian Postage" in English, with handwritten face value numbers "2", "5" and "13" in the middle and decorative patterns on the outside. Because this set of stamps was issued by Henry M. Whitney when he was the director of the Hawaii Post Office. He was the son of a missionary. In addition, most of the people who pasted the stamps were missionaries in Hawaii. Soon after the stamps came out, they were called "Hawaiian Missionary" stamps and have become one of the top ten rare stamps in the world.

Throughout the Chinese philatelic world, the red stamp stamp found previously, regardless of the form, large and small characters, and various denominations, uses black stamp ink. However, in 1942, the stamp "temporarily used as 2 cents of silver" stamped with green ink was found, which caused a sensation in the postal world and attracted the attention of the philatelic community. At that time, some scholars and scholars gave this stamp a pleasant name, "Red Maiden in the Green Robe". The TV play "Red Maiden in the Green Robe" broadcast in 1999 tells a moving love story through the stamps of "Red Maiden in the Green Robe". In those years, the hero's love was integrated into this rare stamp, which demonstrated an unusual experience, so it seemed that life was given to every inch, which was very legendary. The stamp of "Wanshou" in the Qing Dynasty can be divided into the first edition and the second edition, and the stamped words can be divided into "long distance" and "short distance". Among them, the first edition of Wanshou 2-cent silver ticket stamped with large characters and short distance is temporarily used as foreign silver 2-cent new ticket, which is the most famous rare item among the "Wanshou" stamped tickets. A philatelist was awarded the name "Emerald Lady" after receiving this ticket. Since then, this beautiful name has spread in the mail world and attracted many philatelists. In the first edition of Wanshou's large-diameter long distance stamped tickets, only about 300 pieces of 12 cent silver were temporarily stamped as one dime bills of foreign currency. Because the original ticket was golden yellow in color and dragon in design, it got the nickname of "Golden Dragon ". Among the stamps with large characters of Wanshou, the first edition of 24 cents silver stamp is temporarily used as a foreign silver stamp with a value of 30 cents. The original ticket is in rose magenta color, and has been given the laudatory name of "Ruby". If it has been worth 700000 yuan, it stands tall in the forest of Chinese rare stamps!

S15 The third "Tiananmen Gate" stamp of the "Capital Scenic Spots" stamp has not been issued. It is nicknamed "Tiananmen Square Shines" because of the myriad rays of sunshine that shine directly into the sky around Tiananmen Gate. Long live the Overall Victory of the Proletarian Cultural Revolution, which was originally planned to be issued in 1968, was cancelled because of its avaricious content, but there were few accidental outflows. Its pattern is the same as the cancelled "The Red Mountains and Rivers of China", which is called "Big Patch of Red". The reason why the Gengshen Year stamp issued in 1980 was called "Golden Monkey" is that it created a worldwide myth of stamp appreciation. It is as precious as gold, and even more valuable than gold. For others, the nicknames of stamps such as "Palace Gate Down", "Big Blue Sky" and "Black Inscription" can also be regarded as ingenious and catchy.

A good nickname is a successful package. If the nickname itself is very vivid, it will certainly add color to the stamps. It is precisely because of the appropriate address that the characteristics of the stamps are outlined and play the role of finishing touch. Such "image design" can make them famous in China and even in the world's mail world!
