1449.01.01：洛伦佐·德·美第奇出生（1492.04.09去世），意大利文艺复兴时期佛罗伦斯实际统治者，也是学者、艺术家和诗人的赞助者。洛伦佐的宫廷中聚集着如桑德罗·波提切利、列奥纳多·达芬奇、安德烈·德尔·委罗基奥、米开朗基罗等与15世纪的文艺复兴密切相关的人物。尽管洛伦佐本人没有提供很多艺术工作，但是他经常介绍其他的赞助者给艺术家们。 Lorenzo de Medici was born (1492.04.09 died), the actual ruler of Florence in the Italian Renaissance, and the patron of scholars, artists and poets. Lorenzo's court was home to such figures as Sandro Botticelli, Leonardo da Vinci, Andre Del Verrocchio, Michelangelo and others closely related to the Renaissance in the 15th century. Although Lorenzo himself did not provide much artistic work, he often introduced other sponsors to artists.
1814.01.01：洪秀全出生（1864.06.01去世），太平天国领袖。清末宗教组织拜上帝会创始人、太平天国运动领袖。1851年1月11日在广西桂平的金田村举行起义，建号太平天国，称天王；1853年攻占南京，改名天京并定都在此，正式建立了与清廷对峙的农民政权。 Hong Xiu-quan was born (1864.06.01 died) and is the leader of the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom. 1864.01.01：齐白石出生（1957.09.16去世），近现代中国绘画大师。早年曾为木工，后以卖画为生，57岁后定居北京，曾任中央美术学院名誉教授、中国美术家协会主席等职，1953年被授予人民艺术家称号，入选世界文化名人，1956年被世界和平理事会授予国际和平奖金。 Qi Baishi was born (died on September 16, 1957), a master of modern Chinese painting. He worked as a carpenter in his early years and later made a living by selling paintings. He settled in Beijing when he was 57 years old. He once served as honorary professor of the Central Academy of Fine Arts and chairman of the Chinese Artists Association. In 1953, he was awarded the title of People's Artist and was selected as a world cultural celebrity. In 1956, he was awarded the International Peace Prize by the World Peace Council.
1894.01.01：海因里希·赫兹去世（1857.02.22出生），德国物理学家。1887年首先用实验证实了电磁波的存在，对电磁学有很大的贡献，故频率的国际单位制单位赫兹以他的名字命名。 Heinrich Hertz died (born on February 22, 1857), a German physicist.
